This extremely rare (only 6 specimens exist today throughout the United States and Canada) example of a
1918 Samson Sieve Grip-Tractor will certainly bring back memories to the early 20th century tractor
engineers. GM bought the Samson company in an effort to compete with Ford's tractor business, but the
production of the Samson Grip Tractor was very short lived. It's price tag of $1,750 and it's over three ton
mass, were no match for Ford's cheaper and more nimble tractor of the day. Thus, the Samson Sieve
Grip-Tractor became an early resident of this dusty museum hall.
